The night was fresh,
with sparks of gray.
Life seemed impossible,
yet it seemed worth it;
worthy enough, to give it a try.
There was a turmoil,
So it happened almost an year ago, when I got my hands on blogging here. I wrote a few posts on the first few days and then abandoned the blog for quite a long time. Now that I am back I hope to stay and write a lot more than ever.
Coming back, a long weekend makes you wonder about loads of things in your life. One such thing that made me go deep into the topic and made my mind go berserk is civilization.
Questions like, “Why do we do stuffs that we do on a regular basis?” hit me hard in my head. Stuff that you really don’t want to do but have no choice. We actually run after some weird concepts found by our ancestors without questioning. We follow things blindly since the time we were born, we do what we are asked to do by our loved ones. We spend our lifetime doing stuffs we don’t like, in order to be able to do stuff we want to and if it doesn’t work out that way we bring up our children, provide them all amenities we wanted to get when we were young, thus making our kids lead a life that we ever wanted to enjoy.
In simple words, we humans run after things that we crave for and in order to get there we do stuff that we don’t like and spend our lifetime getting there.
May be, you did get me, may be you didn’t. If you didn’t get it yet, let me give you an example.
As kids, we were asked to score great marks in all our grades, we strived harder with every test and learned. We used to focus on subjects we didn’t like in order to get good grades to choose the subject we always wanted to study during graduation and post grads. At this point we had already spend around 18 years of our lives. Then we switch to work, we get ourselves jobs. Majority of those who have a job realize that their job is not what they want to do and most of them have no other choice than to stick to the same job, so that they fulfill their responsibilities towards their family and help themselves sustain. They become more or less financially dependent on their jobs. The rest, jump from one job to another until they realize their interest lies in a totally different career and finds solace in either music, writing, painting, photography or any other creative domain.
so basically we take the longest possible route to reach our destination and while travelling, most of the time we actually don’t remember where we had to go and get to a completely wrong place. How stupid is that? How about it, that our life just ends in the middle of the path and we never reach our destination.
I really don’t have any idea, if any of you really get my point but yes I think it is weird if we really don’t have such psychic thoughts once in a while.
